Minh Dung Holdings is a Vietnam-based aluminum manufacturer specializing in recycled and low-carbon aluminum billet/ingot and extrusion. Founded in 2017, we have developed from an aluminum recycling operation into an integrated manufacturer supplying 6005, 6061, 6082 and 6063 aluminum billet/ profile to international customers.
The Paradox We Started With
In 2017, Vietnam was discarding hundreds of thousands of tons of aluminum scrap every year while manufacturers continued importing primary aluminum at premium prices. Two industries operated side by side, yet rarely connected. Valuable aluminum left the economy as waste, only to return as expensive raw material. To us, this was more than an inefficiency—it was a missed opportunity for Vietnam to create greater value from resources it already possessed. Minh Dung began as a small scrap collection and remelting operation with one conviction: the greatest opportunity was not in extracting more aluminum, but in giving existing aluminum a second life. From the very beginning, sustainability was not a strategy we adopted later; it was the reason we existed.
” From the very beginning, sustainability was not a strategy we adopted later; it was the reason we existed. “
Sustainability Is at the Heart of Our Business
Aluminum is one of the few materials that can be recycled indefinitely without losing its quality. Recycling aluminum requires only a fraction of the energy needed to produce primary aluminum, dramatically reducing carbon emissions, conserving natural resources, and minimizing environmental impact. Every ton of recycled aluminum represents more than material recovered—it represents energy saved, emissions avoided, and a step toward a circular economy. At Minh Dung, we believe the future of manufacturing lies not in consuming more resources but in using existing ones more intelligently. That belief drives our commitment to delivering green aluminum solutions that help customers achieve both exceptional product performance and meaningful sustainability goals.

Building an Ecosystem, Not Just a Factory
As we continued to grow, another lesson became clear: no single factory can collect all of a country’s recyclable aluminum or serve every downstream manufacturer. Rather than trying to own every stage of the value chain, we chose to strengthen the connections between them. We built lasting partnerships with collectors through transparent pricing and dependable relationships, while providing manufacturers and fabrication workshops with a consistent, reliable source of recycled aluminum. Instead of controlling the industry, we focused on connecting it. Every new partner strengthened the ecosystem, creating a supply chain where everyone—from scrap collectors to fabricators—could grow together. We believe sustainable industries are built through collaboration, not isolation.

A New Era for Green Aluminum
Today, Vietnam is entering a new era of industrial development where resource efficiency, carbon reduction, and domestic manufacturing have become national priorities. Around the world, businesses are seeking lower-carbon materials and more resilient supply chains. We are proud to contribute to this transformation—not by mining more raw materials, but by unlocking the value of aluminum that has already been produced. Every billet, every extrusion profile, and every partnership demonstrates that economic growth and environmental responsibility can move forward together. We believe recycled aluminum is no longer simply an alternative to primary aluminum; it is becoming the future of the industry.

Moving Beyond Recycling
Remelting aluminum into ingots was only the beginning. While selling ingots was commercially successful, we recognized that much of the value was still being created elsewhere. Exporting semi-finished materials meant exporting opportunities for local industry, employment, and innovation. Guided by that realization, we invested further downstream, transforming ingots into billets and billets into high-quality extrusion profiles, including 6005, 6061, and 6063-T6 alloys. Every new capability enabled more value to remain in Vietnam while providing customers with reliable, high-performance aluminum products made from recycled material. We were never pursuing expansion simply to become larger; we were building a stronger domestic aluminum industry capable of competing globally while supporting a more sustainable future.

Redefining What Scale Means
People often measure manufacturing companies by the capacity of their factories. We see things differently. A factory has physical limits, but a connected ecosystem continues to expand with every new participant. Every recycling partner increases the amount of aluminum we can recover. Every manufacturer and fabricator increases the volume of finished products that can reach the market. Our true capacity is therefore measured not only by our own production lines, but by the collective strength of the network we have helped build. This integrated ecosystem enables us to absorb large volumes of recycled aluminum, provide stable supply for customers, and deliver green aluminum solutions at a scale that no single facility could achieve alone.

From One Idea to an Expanding Ecosystem
Today, Minh Dung operates approximately 40,000 tons of annual billet and extrusion capacity. Yet that figure represents only our own facilities, not the broader impact of the ecosystem we have built. Across our growing network of collectors, processors, manufacturers, and fabrication partners, the volume of aluminum recovered, processed, and supplied continues to expand every year. With a new deep-processing facility under development in Bac Ninh for 2026–2027, we are taking the next step in creating higher-value aluminum products and advanced green aluminum solutions for customers in Vietnam and around the world.
The belief that inspired Minh Dung in 2017 remains unchanged. We believe aluminum should never become waste. We believe valuable resources should remain in circulation, creating opportunity instead of environmental burden. Most importantly, we believe sustainable manufacturing can also be world-class manufacturing. Every piece of recycled aluminum that passes through Minh Dung reflects that commitment—transforming waste into value, strengthening Vietnam’s industrial future, and helping build a cleaner, more sustainable world for generations to come.
